Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 19, 2025
BabyOK (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a baby tracking application operated by [Your Name / Company] based in [Your Country]. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (“App”).
1. Data Storage
BabyOK stores data locally on your device. The App may store:
- (a) Data you enter: baby’s name, birth date, photos, and activity records (sleep, feeding, diaper changes, growth, notes).
- (b) Subscription-related information: processed through Apple’s App Store for subscription management. Payment details are handled by Apple and are not visible to us.
All baby-related data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our own servers. Device information (e.g., device type, operating system version) may be included in exported data files if you choose to export your data, but this information is not collected or transmitted automatically.
2. Data Usage
Your data is used solely to:
- (a) Provide and maintain the App’s functionality on your device.
- (b) Process and validate subscription status via Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat.
- (c) Provide customer support if you contact us and choose to share information.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or your child’s information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
3. Cloud Backup (Optional)
By default, all data you enter into BabyOK is stored locally on your device. Premium subscribers may have access to optional cloud backup functionality (iCloud), which allows data synchronization across your devices. Cloud backup is encrypted and stored securely in Apple’s iCloud service. This is an optional feature that you control through iOS settings and/or in-app options.
4. Data Security
We take data security seriously. Local data is stored using iOS secure storage mechanisms. Cloud data is encrypted using Apple’s iCloud encryption standards. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Third-Party Services
BabyOK uses the following third-party services:
- Apple’s App Store: for subscription purchase and billing.
- Apple iCloud: for optional cloud backup and synchronization (if enabled by you).
- RevenueCat: for subscription management and transaction analytics. RevenueCat processes technical subscription information (such as product identifiers, subscription type, start date, and status) but does not receive your baby’s data.
6. Analytics and Performance Monitoring
BabyOK uses Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to collect anonymous usage data and crash reports. This data does not include any personal information (baby's name, birth date, photos, etc.) and is used solely to improve stability, user experience (UX), and diagnose technical issues. Firebase does not have access to user-generated content; collected data is fully anonymized (e.g., app usage patterns, device type, OS version). The collected data is not used for advertising or personalized tracking.
Consent Management: Users are presented with a consent screen during app onboarding. Consent is required for analytics data collection. Users can withdraw consent at any time in app settings. App functionality works without consent (analytics disabled).
7. Children’s Privacy
BabyOK is designed for parents and guardians to track information about their children. The App does not collect information directly from children. All data is entered by adults and stored locally on the device or, if enabled, in iCloud. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, export and delete your data. You can:
- Access your data at any time through the App's views and history screens.
- Export your data using the app's export features (JSON/PDF format for Premium users).
- Delete local data by deleting the App or using any in-app reset options.
- Cancel your subscription via Apple's subscription settings.
9. Data Retention
Your data is retained on your device while you use the App. Data is deleted when you remove the App from your device. If you have enabled cloud backup, you can delete your cloud backup data through your iOS settings or in-app options. We do not retain your data on our servers after you delete the App.
10. GDPR Rights (For EU / EEA Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the GDPR:
- Right to Access: You can access your data at any time through the App's views and history screens.
- Right to Rectification: You can correct or update your data directly in the App at any time.
- Right to Erasure: You can delete your data by deleting the App or using in-app reset options. Cloud backup can be deleted through settings.
- Right to Restrict Processing: You can disable analytics data collection in app settings.
- Right to Data Portability: You can export your data using the app's export features (Premium feature).
- Right to Object: You can object to analytics data collection by disabling it in app settings.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw consent for analytics at any time in app settings.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at support@babyok.site. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.
11. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For users in the EEA, we process your data based on the following legal bases:
- Consent: For optional analytics data collection. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Contractual Necessity: To provide the App's core functionality and features you have requested.
- Legitimate Interest: To improve the App's stability, performance, and user experience through anonymous analytics.
12. Data Transfers
Your baby-related data is stored locally on your device and is not transferred to external servers. If you enable optional iCloud backup, your data is stored in Apple's iCloud service, which may involve transfers to Apple's servers. Anonymized analytics data collected through Firebase Analytics may be transferred outside the EEA to Google's servers. These transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, including encryption and standard contractual clauses where applicable.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically for any changes.
